Manny Ortiz, born and raised in Texas, loves wine and good food.  For decades he developed and managed high end restaurants and clubs.  He discovered flower wine when visiting the Spirit Hills Flower Winery in Alberta, Canada.  Manny decided to bring flower wine to Texas and craft flower wines from Texas flowers and so Florvino was born.  Lewis Bonjean, Hugo's newphew, graduated from the University of Washington with a winery management degree and has now become the next generation of the Bonjean family to be involved in the winery.  Lewis is the junior winemaker at Florvino and will be learning from Hugo for years to come.  He also spearheads the organizing of and marketing across Texas.   When Hugo and Ilse started their small winery in Alberta years ago, they could not have imagined how flower wine would have brought their entire family together.  Wine making certainly does run into the blood of the Bonjean family.
